Labor Day has passed us by, and that means your fall wedding is in the final countdown stages. Before your big day arrives, there are a few last minute things you will need to check off of your to-do list.
Rent the Equipment You Need
If you haven’t already, now is the time to rent the equipment you will need to make your wedding and reception a success. Give us a call, and a member of our experienced staff will help to walk you through creating your dream wedding set-up. We understand that planning a wedding can be complicated, so we go out of our way to simplify the process of renting equipment.
Write Your Vows
Many couples these days are opting to add personalized touches, like writing their own vows, to their wedding ceremony. If you are in this camp, you should take some time to consider what you want to say when the time comes. Once you have your finalized version, make several copies and give them to key players to hold on to so that you can be sure you will have them on the big day.
Since your wedding is only a few weeks away, you need to go ahead and schedule your final fitting sessions with your alterations team. Remember that the whole wedding party, groom and groomsmen included, will need appointments for fittings. We strongly recommend that you avoid scheduling these at the last minute in case any issues arise with the final fit.
Confirm Details with Vendors
Contact each of your vendors, including us, and confirm the details of your arrangements. Make sure that you have a cell phone contact number for each vendor, and provide them with a number to contact for the wedding party. We recommend that you give them the number to reach your wedding planner and your maid of honor or best man. If you still have a balance with the vendor, consider paying it in advance to avoid forgetting on the day of.
Pack for Your Honeymoon
If you’re planning on following the tradition of heading off for your honeymoon on, or shortly after, your wedding day, go ahead and get packed before the wedding. You will not want a to-pack list distracting you on the happiest day of your life, nor will you want to go home and try to pack after a long night of celebrating.
